As a Senior Associate Director of Research Development, Mary provides strategic proposal development support on multi-investigator, interdisciplinary grant applications to federal funding agencies. Her responsibilities include collaborative federal proposal development, strategic project planning, research development, and offering diversity, equity, and inclusion resources for researchers.
Mary brings over 15 years of experience in research development, having worked with faculty at research-intensive universities. Additionally, she has a decade of experience in research and project management within biotech and large pharmaceutical companies.
She holds a doctorate in molecular biology from Yale University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in developmental genetics at the University of California, San Francisco.
Outside of her professional commitments, Mary is actively involved in the National Organization of Research Development Professionals (NORDP), serves as a reviewer for the National Science Foundation, and volunteers as a mentor for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mercer County workplace program.
